New features and changes

Map Screen

  • Layer list shows layers with points on

  • Create and save layer views

  • If current view is top down, zoom extents is default zoom option, otherwise top down view is default

Create Menu

  • Option to create a point anywhere

  • Option to create a point halfway between two lines

  • PLAN has a closure check feature

  • POINT MANAGER has a filter option so that the user can view a filtered list of points.  This point list can be expanded to show coordinates, layer and residual information.

  • A point highlighted in the point list will also be highlighted on the map

  • POINT PATTERNS allows user to save a point pattern that they can save and re-use

  • Option to create a single point offset

  • More intuitive icons for Transfer Floor to Ceiling feature

Measure Menu

  • Visual Layout does not time out as quickly

  • Option to store an image when collecting a point (3D Feature Set only)

  • Collect Arc will display arc diameter

  • Collect Arc has option to complete circle

  • Collect Arc will create a center point

  • Option to rotate map to travel direction when laying out with R8s GNSS receiver

  • Option to display North Arrow when using R8s GNSS receiver

Device Menu

  • Panorama can be used to semi-automate Instrument Setup

 

Jobs

  • Import of vector PDF 2D model files (user will have to manually calculate scale for metric pdfs)

  • Import of IFC model files (this feature requires 2017-05 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x86-based Systems (KB4019264) which can be found here https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4019264)

  • Import of BLDG model files

  • SAVE AS maintains the same linked model file

  • EXPORT warns user if no points are selected

  • EXPORT has option to export current view

  • CSV Import gives user option to replace or discard duplicate points

Note: Trimble Field Link v4.2 does not support AutoCAD 2018 dwg files.  Please use 2013 file format.

  • DAILY LAYOUT SUMMARY includes instrument setup information

Other

  • Abbreviations DR and IR replaced with LASER and PRISM

  • Option to turn on/off auto search for targets feature on RPT600

  • Panorama collection time much quicker

  • Better management of RTS disconnects caused by wifi
